The Ottawa Little Theatre (OLT) is a non-profit community theatre that is celebrating 97 years of entertaining audiences. We are one of Canada's longest-running English language theatres. A community theatre, we rely on dedicated volunteers to donate their time and skills to our productions.
Our season is comprised of eight productions each running for sixteen performances. This translates into over 50,000 volunteer hours per season. We are very grateful to those who volunteer their time and talent for the joy and rewards of live theatre.

Acting We hold open auditions on a regular basis. Everyone is always welcome to audition - regardless of level of experience. Auditions are generally on a Sunday afternoon or evening. To find out about upcoming auditions please check this site regularly or join our Facebook group and be notified when they are posted.
Costumes
Costume Designers for each show are volunteers, and a very important element of a production. Costumes help establish the setting within a play. Other volunteers help by sewing outfits worn by actors, repairing costumes or assisting with costume changes during performances. .
Hair and Makeup
Hair and makeup add the final touches to an actor’s appearance before going on stage. Volunteers are needed to assist actors with any hairstyles or makeup prior to each performance.
Backstage Crew Crew ensures set pieces and furniture are moved at well choreographed times during the performance. Volunteers are needed to assist in making our productions look flawless.
Sound and Lighting Technicians

Front of House
Do you enjoy working with the public? Front of House volunteers welcome our theatre patrons, distribute show programmes and perform several other important tasks.
