In this regional elimination competition of the French section of the Dominion Drama Festival held at the Little Theatre, three plays were presented:
"Andromache" (Acts 4 and 5) by Jean Racine, presented by the School of Music and Elocution, University of Ottawa; "Gringoire" by Theodore de Banville, presented by La Rampe Players; and "Francoise" by Sacha Guitry, presented by Le Caveau Players.
Regional Adjudicator George de Warfax of London, England, chose "Francoise" as the winner to represent the French section of Eastern Ontario at the Dominion Drama Festival at the Little Theatre April 26 to May 1, 1937.
