Although the Little Theatre had hosted the national Dominion Drama Festival on six occasions, this was the first time that Ottawa had hosted the English section of the Eastern Ontario Regional Drama Festival. Twice as long as usual, the festival featured six full-length and four one-act plays from Feb. 23 to March 1.
The French section of the Festival, from March 2 to 4 featured three full-length plays.
The ODL entries were "The Winslow Boy" on Feb. 24 (for cast and crew, see Feb. 6-11); "Rumpelstiltskin" on Feb. 25 mat. (by the Junior Theatre - for cast and crew, see Jan. 21-28) and "Payment Deferred" on Feb. 25 eve. (by the Workshop - for cast and crew, see Jan. 20).
