"Concert Party"

The Workshop

This special wartime program was performed to entertain His Majesty's forces at Petawawa and in Ottawa. This particular program had been performed at Uplands Airport on May 9 and in Kemptville on May 21 in aid of the Red Cross, as well as on this date (May 23) at the Little Theatre.

The Ottawa Citizen described the Uplands "concert party" as including "one of the funniest melodramas ever seen, several clever skits and a schoolroom scene where dear teacher led the class in a riotous assemblage of questions and answers. Dancing choruses were cleverly arranged and the singer was a delight."

This was the fourth Workshop concert party this season.
