Ottawa City Drama Festival

Seven groups competed in the 1947 Festival adjudicated by W. A. Atkinson:

Monday, May 5: the Medieval Miracle Play "Abraham and Isaac" presented by St. Patrick's College; Noel Coward's "Still Life" presented by the ODL Workshop (see Jan 26, 1947 for cast and crew details); Hall Spence's The Full Moon presented by the St. Theresa's Catholic Youth Organization; and James Reach's "His First Date" presented by the St. John's Anglican Young People's Association.

May 6: Stuart Ready's "Five at the George" by the Civil Service RA; Mary Pakington's "The House with the Twisty Windows" by an unnamed group; and "Dark Brown" (which was not entered into the competition) by the Carleton College Drama Class.

"Still Life" was named Best Production, and Kathryn Cranston was named Best Actress.
