NOTICE OF OTTAWA LITTLE THEATRE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND CHRISTMAS PARTY
If you are interested in the future of the Ottawa Little Theatre, you are invited to our Annual General Meeting followed by the OLT Christmas Party in the Theatre’s Main Auditorium at 400 King Edward Ave., Ottawa, Ontario on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. We will celebrate the successes from the 2016-2017 Season, review the audited financial statements, discuss the 2018-2019 Season and beyond, and have a board election. We hope that you will join us!
NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2017/18 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The following members of the Board have completed their two-year term and/or appointment to a seat of a former Board member who left their seat within their designated term: Paul Hession (reoffering); Linda Webster (re-offering); Chris Ralph (previously appointed, reoffering); Ian Stauffer; Chantale Plante.
Nominations for Board membership are open until Friday December 1, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Should the number of nominee submissions exceed the number of positions available (a total of five for 2017), an election will be called at the Annual General Meeting. Board membership is for a two-year term with the option to reoffer.
After the nomination deadline closes, the Nomination Committee will post the names of all nominees at the front doors of the Theatre, in the Green Room, and on the Theatre’s website on the following Monday.
VOTING MEMBERS
The Annual General Meeting is open to anyone who wishes to attend, however only Members will be able to cast a vote. In accordance with our bylaws, Members are persons who have submitted a request for Membership at the box office before Nov. 10, 2017 and are:
- Seated Life Members OR
- Current Subscribers (Classic or Custom) OR
- Active Volunteers OR
- Donors in the current or preceding season
- Excluding all the above, any member of the public can become a member of OLT with a $20 membership fee, paid in advance of November 10, 2017.
VOTING BY PROXY
If you are unable to attend the AGM and wish to have some one vote on your behalf, you may vote by proxy. Proxy ballots may be mailed to Ottawa Little Theatre or dropped off at the Ottawa Little Theatre Box Office until the close of business at 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 or may be brought to the AGM by your proxy.
