Projection & Media Design is a new and exciting discipline with so many different applications, and can make a massive impact on a show! In this workshop, we’ll be going over all the aspects of Projection Design, both technical and creative.
Our objective for this workshop is for students to leave with the ability to:
- Understand the theatrical design process and use it as a methodology for creating a projection design for a show.
- Identify ways that projection can influence a show and how it is different from other design disciplines.
- Understand the various tools to create content for a show and what is needed from incorporate projections into a show.

- Show Control with QLab

Lindsey McGowen is an award-winning theater designer originally from Austin, Texas, USA where she was the Director of Production Design and Master Electrician at the Hideout Theatre. She has designed lights, sound, or projection (or sometimes all three!) for 30+ shows both scripted and unscripted. She regularly teaches technical design and dramaturgy at various international festivals, including in Singapore, Amsterdam, London and Chicago.
